The ancestors of the St. Bernards are large and hardy dogs that lived in the monastery of St. Bernard in the Swiss Alps in the XI century. Saint Bernards are very faithful and loyal, deserve trust and love. It is believed that this is an ideal family dog. St. Bernards are especially appreciated in families with small children, because these dogs are like babysitters! Do not be afraid of the size of the animal, despite the awkwardness and impressive appearance, St. Bernards play very softly and patiently with children, allowing them to do anything. St. Bernard is not prone to aggression, but this does not mean that these dogs will not protect the owner if necessary. The St. Bernard breed is a family dog ​​that must live side by side with a person in order to feel like a real member of the family. These dogs do not tolerate loneliness.
